Who wouldn't love this kind of attitude. That's why I love this story of how two guys were fed up with Comcast and started their own fiber ISP.

That's how we started building NeetoDeploy. Heroku bill was started to get out of hand and we thought exactly the same thing "What the hell, why not?"

That's how we started building NeetoRecord. Infact that's how we started building Neeto. "why not". Did we paused and thought about which product to build. Surely we thought about it for 5 minutes and then we started building it.

Did we make mistakes. Of course we shutdown so many of our products after months and in some cases years of work.

Overall the attitude of "why not" is a good one. Unless you are doing some ground breaking things there is always somone already available in the market doing the same thing.

People will ask how do you differentiate. You don't have to have a good answer. You need an answer someday but today your answer need to be coz I'm the user of this product and it would do x which is missing in the market leader product.

Remember Honda and Toyota are the leading auto makers in the world and they didn't invent cars. Facebook didn't invent social networking. You don't have to be a pioneer to build a business. You do need to have "why not" attitude.
